I grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area. My dad was interested in photography when I was young and he showed me how to process black & white and Cibachrome photographs. I spent all four years of high school taking photography classes, but that was a long time ago, and I didn’t seriously pick up a camera for the next 15 years.

In 2005, I was expecting the birth of my first child, and I bought a Nikon D100. Since then, I have tried to re-integrate myself into photography, but learning to “see” again has been hard. Comments and constructive criticism are always welcomed, as I feel that will shorten my learning curve this time around.

I am particularly interested in abandoned items/places and the urban decay all around us. With some of my shots I strive to be artistic, and on some I am just trying to take a documentary photograph. After all, some of these places won’t be with us much longer.
