I was born on February 13, 1995 in Rosedale, Minnesota. There I spent most of my childhood, about 4 years ago I moved to Vancouver, WA with my family. My family is pretty small, consisting of my dad Val, my mom Jenny, and my sister Anastasiya. I got most of my artistic skills from my sister, because she was the one interested in art. She showed me her sketches and I was just amazed at how awesome and fascinating it was. And that’s when I started doing my own sketches and then my parents bought a camera, and I started taking pictures, developed my own style and I was off to photography. But I still had the artist in me so I would be on a off with the camera and the paper and pencil.

The camera opened up a new world for me, I started taking my camera everywhere I would go and when there was the right opportunity, I would take a picture of anything I thought that was interesting. I noticed that what I was drawing wasn’t that great, so I dropped my sketching and just moved on to photography. I thought I was pretty good at what I was doing until I joined a class in high school, where I saw that I was completely the opposite and that I needed practice to get better. In that class I developed skills to become an amateur photographer. And that is where I learned new techniques and ways to turn a regular photo into something spectacular.

When I graduate from high school, I am planning to continue with my photography. But not in an occupation, but as a hobby or a secondary job. I want to continue learning more and more about photography, and develop more skills, techniques and create pictures where I can share with my family and friends. And mostly to just show people that you can do anything if you have your heart set to it.
