Fitzrovia Centre

Aims
The new community centre aims to become the hub of activities for local people with an emphasis on increasing social cohesion. We are particularly keen to develop services that meet the needs of local residents and workers. The overall ambition of the FCCT is to improve the health and well-being of people who live and work in Fitzrovia and to support the long term community.
Background
The Fitzrovia Community Centre located on the ground floor and basement of John Astor House on Foley Street in the City of Westminster, just across the Camden borough boundary.
The Centre arose from a section 106 funding by University College London Hospital (UCLH) allocated to the London Borough of Camden to provide a new community centre. It comprises an area of approximately 670 square metres with full disabled access including an outdoor courtyard. The building has undergone a major refurbishment and designed to be a modern and welcoming multi-purpose building, with a range of rooms available for large and small groups and individuals.
It will have some long-term tenants and facilities for short-term use by organizations, community groups, and local people.
