My Style:

I am taking pictures since the 70ies. Landscapes, nature and animals are my main focus. Architecture and AI software are new trials. Portraiture and street are fields I still have to learn a lot.

Photography is one of the best ways to enhance perception and fun in life imo. Thinking of my beloved, pets, nature or nice cultural places all over the world photography makes all of them even more exciting.

Current gear:

Canon: 5D Mark III, 4/17-40L, 2/50 ZE Makro, 2,8/70-200L IS II, 2.8/100L Macro, 4/300L; Extender 1,4x II

Sony: A7R, 2.8/18 ZE, 2/25 ZE, 2.8/35 ZE, 1.8/85 ZE

Minolta: XE-1, MD Rokkor 2.8/28, 1,4/50, 2.8/135, Novoflexar 4/105 (Bellows Lens), Sigma 4,5-5,6/75-300 λII

Apple: iPhone XS

I still try to reduce my gear list. But it seems to be an impossible mission for quality and/or cost reasons. DSLRs do still so good in telephoto shooting. Heavy lenses balance better with heavy bodies imo. Mirrorless cams are great for traveling and wide, compact lenses. And I like the manual focus stuff of the 70ies. You get so much quality for little money. Look & feel of the old stuff is simply hard to beat. Smartphones are emergency photo devices for me. I am not a touch guy. Better to have mechanical bottons & knobs for my old eyes.
