My Style:
I am taking pictures since the 70ies. Landscapes, nature, animals and macros are my main focus. Because life is good and short I try my best to take images of remarkable creatures, places and scenes. As an amateur it is always a trade-off. Taking many images may end-up in stellar results. But I want to enjoy the world and communicate with others. Maybe I should use good zooms or smartphones more often to increase efficiency. But you can't get rid of old habits easily.
Current gear:
Apple: iPhone XS
Canon: 5D Mark III, 4/17-40L, 2/50 ZE Makro, 2,8/70-200L IS II, 2.8/100L Macro, Extender 1,4x II
Sony: A7R, 2.8/18 ZA, 2/25 ZA, 2.8/35 ZA, 1.8/85 ZA
Minolta: MD Rokkors 2.8/28, 1,4/50, 2.8/135
Novoflex: Novoflexar 4/105 Bellows Lens
I still try to reduce my gear list. But it seems to be an impossible mission for quality and/or cost reasons. DSLRs do still so good in telephoto shooting. Heavy lenses balance better with old heavy bodies imo. Mirrorless cams are great for traveling and wide, compact lenses. And I like the manual focus stuff of the 70ies. You get so much quality for little money. Smartphones are emergency devices for me. I am not a touch guy. Better to have a large viewfinder and mechanical bottons for my old eyes.
