Before I get into my profile, I'd just like to thank you for getting this far to view my photostream.

My favourite subjects are landscapes, seascapes, sunrises or sunsets, architecture, the London Underground and a bit of flora and fauna.

Recently, I have got into Street & Urban Photography as another genre and challenge. If these are similar subjects that you also like, then lets become contacts and view one another's photos.

I try to keep my contact list to a manageable level so that I can view as many images as possible that fit in with my likes, so if the only images you post are of your friends, family or pets, then unfortunately being a reciprocal contact probably would not work for me or indeed you..

Since the age of 11, I have always been interested in photography, starting with a good old Kodak Brownie 127 back in...(well let's not go there) - it was only black & white holiday type snaps back then, but in 1964 I got a Kodak Instamatic and decided to opt for colour slides which were somewhat cheaper than prints with much better imaging.

It took me a few years after that to adopt an SLR in the late 60's, however photography took a little bit of a backseat for many years after that until I adopted Digital in 2005. I use a Nikon D5000 and have just purchased (Dec 2012) a D800 as a present to myself for getting my ARPS certification.

Photography has given me great pleasure as a hobby, and I would like to think that even in the early days, I was a little bit more than a point and shoot photographer. And today.... well full time work prevents me from getting out as much as I would like, but I still follow that dream of getting the perfect sunset or sunrise, if indeed there is one.
