Thanks for stopping by! I'm Mike Milne, a wedding photojournalist and portrait photographer based in San Francisco. I admire photography that soaks in the moment, that rings with the intimacy of real life. I use candid romance, spontaneous laughter, and joy to capture the true essence of loving couples. I help people remember life's celebrations, but also show them new perspectives, details or moments they may have missed on their wedding day or in everyday life. I also take portraits of brides, babies, "beaus" & "babes". I am a firm believer that good portraits reveal the truth and beauty of their subjects.

My approach to weddings is simple. I make you feel comfortable. I capture every possible moment. I keep your personality and your story in mind. I anticipate moments and prepare for the unexpected. Then I tell your story, each chapter filled with images shinning with natural emotion and real moments.

I am also a huge believer in excellent customer service. You come first. It's your day, not mine. I'll use all my talents (even my bad jokes) to make a photo shoot or your wedding day fun and easy. Speaking of which... did you hear about the wedding between the two antennas? The ceremony was alright, but the reception was GREAT!

More about me

Formally trained as a biologist at Stanford University, my passion for photography grew out of a desire to share my vision of the natural world. I was raised in the Midwest, but inspired by the landscape and people of California, have never left! In my previous life, I saved sea turtles at the Sea Turtle Restoration Project and watchdogged the fragile Sierra Nevada Mountain ecosystem.

I'm a passionate guy, a modern-day swashbuckler --someone who exhibits courage, a strong sense of honor and justice, a chivalric romantic sense, and the capacity for wit, style, and resourcefulness under pressure. My swordfighting skill, however, needs some work. Photography keeps me engaged in the creative possibilities of each moment. Photography constantly reminds me how lucky we all are to be alive.
