Paul's imagery is literally 'jaw-dropping'. There is a world of difference between those of us who merely try to capture a representation of the world around us by snapping the shutter a few dozen times, and those rare individuals who are true artist and craftsmen in the world of photography. Paul rises to that exalted level with his masterful images. Patience, skill, talent, experience, artistic insight, creativity.....all come together so perfectly so very seldom. Sometimes in life you wander across someone who immediately grabs your attention like a good book. In our daily lives, when we meet someone in person we can usually get some idea of what type of person they are by the way they hold themselves, their body language, tone of voice and how they interact with others. In an online photo sharing site it is, of course, different. I stumbled across Paul’s images a while ago and boxes immediately started to tick. The places his images have taken me and the time of day they were photographed were those I have always wanted to see. Coupled with the way Paul treats his images and especially the content he adds to them has made me lean back in my chair and smile on many occasions. In fact, his witty words and warm sense of humour left me many times laughing out loud. His photography is a work of art to such an extent that on many occasions I felt my heart smiling. His images stirred all those emotions that are part of our life, such as joy, happiness, sadness, contentment and peace. Ansel Adams expressed far better than me what I would like to say about Paul's images: "We don't make a photograph with just a camera. We bring to the act of photography all the books we have read, the movies we have seen, the music we have heard and the people we have loved." So, keep creating, Paul, and sharing your talent with us.
