Rubel Karmaker is a freelance photographer based in Dhaka, Bangladesh. His journey to photography started in late 2009. He has completed two months basic and three months foundation course on photography at Pathshala South Asian Media Institute. He generally covers and takes interest in photo journalism on contemporary issues, street and daily life. His photos got Special Mention Award 2017 under Corruption and Public sufferings category by Transparency International Bangladesh (TIB). His works were exhibited in various competitions like- Standard Chartered Bank and The Daily Star Celebrating Life Photography Competition Bangladesh 2013, Kalakaar online International Photography Competition (India) 2013, Transparency International Bangladesh (TIB) 2017, 35 Award in International Photography Contest 2016.

His photos have also been published in reputed national media like The Daily Prothom Alo online, The Daily Ittefaq online, 71 TV and many more.
