I have been undertaking for a long time, now, to take/make quality photos of the birds and natural environments I enjoy so much; I will continue to do so for as long as I'm able.

Feel free to use anything you find useful here. While I always appreciate being notified, it's comforting to know that someone, somewhere, has found something in my work of some use or value. In this regard, I think I'm a bit different from most folks on Flickr....

A VIEWING NOTE : While it's up to you, of course, I'd prefer that you view my Photostream by Date Uploaded rather than by Date Taken—I put some thought into the way / sequence by which I'd like the images to be viewed.... Frequently, the numbers on a series do not match the order I'd prefer.... As you will see, I use my photos to tell stories....

To see my best shots of a particular year, search for soty and the last two digits of the year. e.g. soty23 will bring up the best of 2023 and so on....

For more on specific species, you might enjoy some of my many albums. I recommend the Bluebirds (several albums) for a start.
