One of the best gifts I have ever received was a Canon SLR when I graduated from college. Since then, I have taken it thoughout the States, up some mountains, down some rivers, driving through Ireland, hiking through FR/IT/SW, up to Alaska and most recently out to Hawaii. While I've experimented with digital, I'm just getting my feet wet, so we'll see where this takes me... if nothing else, it might be easier to buy hard drives for storage, rather than looking for more closet space for all my negatives and slides.

My recent gift was a Canon Rebel XT and has been amazing. Currently shooting with a 17-85mm.
