Hello, my name is Toi! I'm 19 and I would consider myself to be a newbie/amateur photographer. I had been using a point and shoot for several years now, and I've recently upgraded to my first DSLR, a Nikon D3200. Any tips and critique from others is highly appreciated! :)

I love doing nature photography, but I am especially fond of insects and "creepy crawlies". I can spend hours outside looking for insects to photograph! I always get excited upon finding a new insect!

In my spare time, I like to research and identify the insects I've encountered. I think I've identified 70+ species of insects. I'm interested in entomology. I'm not 100% sure what I'll pursue when I choose to go to college, but biology and entomology are definitely one of the things I have in mind.

I also love art, and doing illustrations. I like using my own pictures as reference, and I have done pen and ink drawings of several of my pictures.
