Hummingbird Stitchers Quilt Guild, organized in 1978 as a non-profit organization, exists for the purpose of promoting interest and appreciation of quilting and fiber arts, teaching high standards of design and techniques, and contributing quilts to the community.
We are a group of around 150 women and men who enjoy the camaraderie of quilting. Members come from throughout Cochise County; a few venture over from Pima County; our work and share area is in Sierra Vista, Arizona. Check out our website at: www.hummingbirdquiltguild.com/.
We meet weekly and monthly. Weekly group sessions are to sew and learn from each other. During monthly meetings we share our quilts and maybe enjoy a lecture or two about quilting and fiber arts. We sew, quilt and donate around 400 quilts a year to good causes to include cancer centers, homes for battered women, foster children and so much more. We host a quilt show each year to show off our quilts, get the word about quilting and raise funds so we can continue to sew for a good cause.
FLICKR has generously allowed us to share our quilts with you and each other for free. We appreciate their support.
