Hello!

Before I write anything else, i must thank Susie of Chateau Femme (chateaufemme.co.uk) for most of the photos over the last many years. She is an absolutely wonderful Lady, kind, generous, a wonderful photographer, excellent at doing my makeup and with, I am sure, the largest wardrobe of dressese and other outfits for TVs in the UK.

Now to me. I am a mature heterosexual transvestite who has been crossdressing since a teenager - and that was a long time ago.

Had it been medically possible and socially acceptable when I was in my 20s, I would certainly have seriously considered having the sex-change operation. Sadly, in the 1950s, that was not an option. So here I am locked in the wrong body and unable to do anything about it! But what I can still do is to look and feel as feminine as possible whenever I have the chance.

I love satin, silk and taffeta and dressing to look smart and sophisticated. I especially like ballgowns, evening dresses and wedding dresses. However, I also have a collection of ordinary day clothes. When I am dressed, which sadly is not as often as I would like, I like to get out and about. I enjoy shopping, visiting clubs and theatres and having a good meal at a smart restaurant. I try to dress to melt in to the background and be as convincing as I can and I hope not to embarrass anyone- including myself!!

With friends who are also TVs or TG, I have been to Covent Garden several times to enjoy the opera. I also enjoy Art Galleries and Museums.

I have a playful side which enjoys dressing up in more bizarre outfits - just for the hell of it - and testing the boundaries. See my other self on Flickr at woottongirl or jpp wootton.

I told my wife of my crossdressing some years ago and although she does not like it she is tolerant of it as long as she never sees me dressed, which means I cannot dress at home. This is obviously very restrictive but I have found I can live with it although there are days when I wake up in the morning screaming in my mind to get dressed and knowing I can't. .

I enjoy walking, sailing, traveling, good food, good wine and good company. I especially enjoy meeting and going out with other girls.

I owe a great debt to Sandi Hall, the lady who some 40 years ago first taught me how to stand, walk and generally act like a woman and who showed me what clothing and hair styles suited me. She also took me out dressed for the first time, initially for a stroll in some local woods ( that proved to be very popular with dog walkers! ) and then to a restaurant in Brighton for lunch. It was at that lunch that I realised that no-one was taking the slightest notice of me, and that was when I knew I could safely go out without being laughed at or hassled.

I must admit Jean, you certainly have a beautiful assortment of gowns, in which I, and any one of us would love to own. In the circle of fashion, it may be said that the apparel makes the women, but in your case Jean, it's you, that makes the apparel. Are these beautiful gown stored in an area known to your wife?
