Living in County Leitrim, Ireland, I am now retired (born 1947) and can devote more time to my photography. I currently normally use my full-frame Nikon D600 DSLR, but you will also find photographs on here taken with other Nikon DSLR cameras, including the D50, D80 (my current backup camera), D200 - as well as various 'compact' cameras that I have owned.

Whilst I prefer taking landscape shots (hill-walking being one of my other passions), I also get a lot of fun out of trying my hand at photographing flowers, animals, fruits etc; the occasional attempt at macro photography; and taking portraits - whether formal, informal, indoors or outdoors.

While I wouldn't in any way class myself as a professional photographer, I am slowly trying to improve on the quality of the work that I produce. That said, I will still occasionally add 'snapshot' type images as a record of my travels, etc.
