I'm a mom, a wife, a writer. (Not always, or even ever, in that order.) I'm not a housekeeper, a maid, or a dishwasher. That's what husbands and children are for. -- Haha -- Just kidding. About the children. I would never have a child do a man's job. Besides, we're ladies, my child and I, and we deserve to be treated like queens. ('Yes, darling. No, no, we'll let Daddy pick up the toys and put away the dishes.')
I'm not rich. But I plan to be. Someday. Until then we're mostly getting by on landscaping and freelance work. (My husband is a whiz with a garden or a lawn.) I'm in the later stages of the Great American Speculative Fiction Novel. (In other words I have most of a first draft finished and might have it completed later in the year.)
I blog. I take photos with pretty rickety old cameras and I try to do upkeep on the main site www.oddstilllife.com. (Three small Ls in there folks.)
I'm just learning to knit ( I can cast on and off pretty well -- although slowwwwwwly.) The first time I tried I was about fourteen. I failed miserably. Then again, my grandma didn't have the patience to teach a cow to moo. (I've learned more about knitting from the internet in the last couple of weeks that I did from my gram in 14 years.)
We do not sell anything on ebay anymore. I'm too busy being the mother of a kindergartner and trying to finally finish a novel or maybe a poetry book. We're still not rich, but that's probably a good thing.
Oh, yeah! Obama/Biden '08!!!
