I thought I would end 2008 by writing some testimonials for some of the people I respect the most on Flickr, and Amy had to be my first one! Amy has been such a wonderful inspiration for many of us, no matter how hectic her life has been she always has time for a photo for us everyday plus some positive comments of inspiration. She has shared with us through her photography her creative skills in scrapbooking, the challenges of raising triplets with three very different personalities, educated us about autisism and other challenges, offered inspiration to my daughter (a rookie ESE teacher), captured small town Ohio living, and has a unique ability to find beauty is some of the simplist things! Without looking back through her 366 project I could tell you what many of the photos are but one photo really sticks out in my mind- it was a triptyech (I really can't spell that word) of her daughter going through a meltdown as my daughter says, but in the caption she said something about how it breaks her heart to see her daughter like that. I think all of us that day shared her pain but something else in her caption really stuck with me- Life is not always pretty and she never promised to only take pretty photos. That one photo and the caption speaks volumes about who Amy really is! Amy, cheers for a great 2008 and even better 2009, keep the camera clicking, and I'm glad I can consider you a friend!
