Married to Gill for 44 years, have 3 daughters, and 4 grandchildren. Live in Hertfordshire UK on the edge of the Chilterns.

Have always loved wildlife and been a birdwatcher. Started digiscoping in 2005 odd and then moved on to a DSLR and started a website. Vague hope of making a living out of my hobby - but never actually sold a picture so far! Have had them used by various charities on posters, fliers and websites, and in a few books, but of course I didn't charge for them.

Best photographic achievement to date was a "highly commended" for my Empis tesselata (www.flickr.com/photos/85387952@N00/4626430576/) under Hidden Britain section of the BWPA competition 2010 - this picture was included in the book of the awards, published Oct 2010.
