photography for me is a state of mind. when I'm behind my camera I can separate myself from the ambient that's around me, and concentrate all my energy on the object of my hunt. like in "the deer hunter" I like to consider that I have only one shot for a photo, I don't like to shot many, so I observe, I change the setting of the camera, to find the photo I'm looking for.
Since april 2006 I'm using a digital camera, before only a reflex, Yashica, that learns me to take pictures. I don't like so much to photograph people, I prefer observe landscape and object; I'm an "old", considering that photographing people is like to touch their soul. so I've decided to touch the soul of only special people, special for me.
digital? ok, it's better for only one reason... because I can see immediatly the result of my job. but my way to shot is always the same: when I can, when I'm alone, I observe for several minutes what I want to photograf.
for me taking a picture is as loving. I try to put all my love in it.

Bene, oltre tutto questo Walter è anche un fotografo con delle idee stupende, un modo di vedere il mondo tutto particolare e lo si vede dalle sue foto dove riesce a rendere un semplice particolare, una cosa che ai più sfugge, un vero capolavoro! Purtroppo vivendo lontani ci vediamo poco ma spero presto di farmi con lui un'altra pedalata in bicicletta, stavolta armati di macchina fotografica! :)
