I grew up in rural north east Mississippi on a farm where my dad raised cows, bailed hay, and I rode horses. I competed in barrel racing and other speed events as well as trail riding and working cows on the farm. Being an only child and growing up so far from anywhere I had to learn how to entertain myself and discovered art early in life. I've always drawn and painted and really got into photography at 12 using my grandfather's Petri Penta 35mm SLR camera.

I graduated from Hebron Christian School in Pheba and then graduated from Mississippi State University with a BFA emphasis in photography. Upon graduation operated my own photography business for three years but due to the economy and burn out I have moved away from photography full time.

I'm married and recently had a little girl 04/05/2012.

I recently made a decision to go back into photography part time and to continue my own fine art work. I don't know where the road my lead, but I'll never get there unless I depart. So, here we go and please follow along if you wish. I have a passion for photographing the southern landscape and showing those out of the way places on the back roads you'll never see from the interstate. Thanks for visiting
