80 Brandy is a vacation property, we purchased in January 2012. It's a fantastic site on the Saint John River, Ingleside, New Brunswick. It looks west, up the Saint John River.

It's a family and retirement project to be developed, over the next 20 years.

Year 1, a front lawn was built and the foundation of the chicken coop was cleaned out of debris and filled with top soil. Next year there will be a flower garden.

Year 2, cleared the space from the garden to the road and built two lawns, added a number of plants and shrubs to the garden, cleared trees to start a view of the Saint John River.

Cleared trees at the back of the front lawn. Generally, this is where a cottage will be built in 2014.

Year 3, cleared more of the property and meet with the builder. The plan was reviewed, site prepared and construction of the cottage began mid August 2014. It seems now that construction will be complete in January 2015.

Year 4, this will be a busy year, the cottage must be furnished, the property landscaped and given a lived in look of a family home. Worked on the never ending project of a view to the river, building and maintaining lawns. The cottage turned out better than we expected, love the sun room.

Year 5. it's hard to believe that five years have passed since we bought the property. The never ending landscaping is almost done. Completed the lawn along the road. Started gardens on the front lawn. A property was added by the Melanson Family across the road. It didn't change our view of the Saint John River.

We continue to expand our view of the river.

Worked on opening a path to the back of the property. Ultimately the path will go to the back of 70 Brandy.

Year 8. This is the summer of 2020. I am still working. Will not be for much longer. Each summer, Joan, Lindsay, Jonathan and I work on the property. Gardens are expanded and improved. Lindsay has been living at the property full time since April. We improve the view towards the Westfield ferry. Enjoy the evening sunsets.
