I would consider myself a Photography Enthusiasts, a prosumer grade equipment guy who loves gadgets, grip and toys but only an above average amateur photographer. Could be that’s because I’m a bits and bytes type of person earning my way as a Network Solutions Architect for Verizon. I first got involved with photography back in the Stone Age (early 70’s) when black and white film and flash bulbs were high technology and common place. My first real camera was a Yoichi Twin Lens Reflex. I owned several Minolta film cameras, made the transition to digital with the Konica Minolta 7D and then switched to Nikon when Konica Minolta step out of the market and sold all their interests to Sony.
I enjoy portraiture and experimenting with lighting and studio setup. I really enjoy Child Photography because I love working with children. I am also into Architectural, Landscape and Cityscape Photography and have been experimenting with HDR Panorama in these somewhat related genres. Still Life, Macro, Travel, Action and Sports with emphasis on youth team sports are other genres that I enjoy. While I don’t consider myself interested in Wildlife Photography I do enjoy the photographic opportunities that Zoos has to offer.
Growing up in New York City and living in New Jersey for the last 30 years I appreciate what New York City has to offer from a cultural and photographic prospective. Not that New Jersey doesn’t have a lot to offer, it’s just different in New York City. So what’s my photographic style? I’m still trying to figure that out.
