I am the hero of my own story. That story suffers from poor character development and multiple plot holes.

I post a lot of pictures and write a lot of words to go along with them. I live around Chicago and grew up around Kentucky, so a lot of my pictures come from those places, but I have pictures from each of these United States. I think I'm decent at the photography thing, but really, I'm here just as much for the stories I can tell. Some of these stories are tales of whatever trip we've taken recently (and we take lots of trips). Some are about history or science or, every once in a while when I get mad over something, politics. Some are flights of fancy without much narrative thread. Some are jokes.

I have included 25 pictures below as examples of my work. Approximately 98% of my pictures look nothing like those, but those are pretty good, so I can act like I do that all the time.

One thing I don't like about this modern flickr is that they've made it hard to find the collections, which is unfortunate, because I'm really obsessive about the way I categorize these things. I have a nested structure of albums, and if you want to take a look at back issues, I think things make a lot more sense if you track down that collections tab. Here's a link, if that's easier ...
