Pam and I have been contacts for quite some time. I consider Her to be My Friend and Mentor. I have learned a great deal from Pam. She has graciously and honestly answered any questions in a most helpful manner. Much that I have learned from Pam is from following Her example. Especially about being a good contact. I don't think Pam has ever missed commenting on one of My photographs. Her photography has and continues to inspire Me. She has a wonderful talent of seeing great photographs that others would miss. I've been admiring Pam's photos for more than a year, and when I go back through her photostream, they are as fresh and timeless as ever. I remember when the Explore people started noticing her work and giving it the respect it deserves. I remember last winter when she found she could saturate the photo's colors with camera settings, and then her shots really demanded attention. Her photos speak for themselves and speak well of her abilities as a photographer. There is something magical in Pamela's photos. A cursory first look is usually not sufficient. The simple may be complex. The cold may hide warmth. You've got to look a second time to be sure. Sometimes you cannot put a finger on how she has done it but her work is captivating. As testament to her popularity consider that as of this writing she has been posting on Flickr for 64 weeks. 65 of her photos have been or currently are in "Explore". She nails down an average of over 1 a week and even gets two on some days. I don't know who keeps the stats but that has got to be a of record, especially for a self-professed amateur. Pam is always there with a comment for pictures that catch her fancy and demurely silent on those she feels are best left alone! On the flip side of that coin, she always seems to find time to thank everyone for their comments on her pictures. I want to thank you, Pam, for every comment you have given me! Thank you for your inspiration and ideas.
