I am Married, Mother of three, Grandma of 11.

I am a Christian, retired from nursing. My faith in God is the most important focus in my life, and strongest influence in everything I do.

I enjoy photography, which has been a family interest for four generations. My great grandfather was a portrait photographer in Denmark. My father was a photography enthusiast, worked with film only, and had his own darkroom. I often wonder what he would think of the digital photography that is here today, and how it has grown and developed. Sometimes I wish I could ask him questions about the art.

Now, my children are active in their own photography interests, and several of my grandchildren are following in line.

I love photography, as a growing enthusiast. After being unable to use a camera for a few years, I am now renewing my interest, and want to continue to grow in skill and the art.

Because of age and limited mobility, I have chosen to use the Canon SX 40 HS, a Bridge camera with lots of built in options, and a wonderful 35X zoom lens that offers versatility, plus the ease of use that I need at this stage in my life. I am a bit rusty and having to explore and learn all over again.

I look forward to exploring what I can do with this camera. I most enjoy shooting nature because I love to see the handy work of God and the beauty that surrounds us. I also have an interest in floral macros and close-ups, and am working on improving my skills.

It has been fun to share with family and others who share this interest.
