I got my start taking photos for the high school newspaper, we developed in our own darkroom. I later acquired a Minolta Manual Focus system and 3 lenses. After several changes of jobs, including teaching high school in Quebec, forestry, and more lumberjack stuff I became a full time Firefighter, then eventually an arson investigator shooting crime scene photos. After a promotion to Training Officer I pioneered the use of video and video editing to cut the costs of training. This was a whole new experience. A combination of high end digital cameras, still digital cameras and computers let make DVD's of training programs. The only glitch was the 'actors' never knew it was going to be so tedious to do some simple takes.
I was offered early retirement, and although I do some building management and Human Resource work, I have spent a lot of time with a high end Sony A100 camera and have gone back to the early days so to speak. I like to travel and find new lenses, and places to take pictures.
