It has been a journey since I first started drawing as a kid. In high school, I completed AP art classes and went on to take several art classes in college. I stepped away from art for a while but when researching my family genealogy I stumbled over pictures of Pysanky Eggs and felt the calling to start creating them.

Growing up our family was not connected to our roots, and besides my grandparents, there were not many people we were connected to. We did not have a lot of “this was passed down in our family” stories. While I do sometimes draw more traditional patterns that would be found in Eastern Europe I try and make the art and patterns my own combining my style from art class many years ago where my concentration was of nature and flowers.

My eggs have brought me closer to my ancestors who I never knew and has inspired me to take the next step in seeking a second degree in Studio Art. I hope that my designs bring happiness and inspiration to everyone.
