Welcome to my gallery. I began digital photography a few years ago. Since then I have come to enjoy it so much that I take a camera everywhere with me. I especially enjoy black and white photography. It makes me pay more attention to forms, shapes, light and shadows.

I enjoy going on hikes and noticing things in nature and being able to bring a memory home with me. My family moved south when I was very young so I missed out on a lot of fun in the snow as a child. In my late twenties I moved back North and have never regretted it. The transformation after a snow still amazes me. It has given me such an appreciation for the change in seasons.

In between each season is a time of transition in nature and I enjoy capturing those moments. Each season brings a new form to the woods, paths and vegetation. From a mushroom sprouting from a mossy log to the winter branches of a Beech tree still clinging to it's weathered leaves.

I currently live in a building that was converted into condo's so I do not have my own space to plant flowers or a vegetable garden - that is the one thing I miss from when I lived in the south. I am hoping someday I do but for now I have to depend on the planting efforts of others.
