Since Oktober 2004, I consider photography as my hobby. Taking photos and then editing them to improve the picture so that it becomes how I thought the scene looked like or the picture becomes "art".

My first photos date back to my childhood when I used my father's SLR camera. However, I used it very basically (focus and press the bottom), especially as my father was not able to explain the camera because he didn't use it much.

In my early 20s, I bought a compact film camera. As film was quite expensive (including the development of the photos), I used the camera only for special occasions (holidays, birthdays).

One day, after my camera felt, I bought my first digital camera, a Fujifilm S7000. With this camera, I learned a lot about photography. I loved the colours of its photos. However, its main problem was its slow startup, and as a result, I often missed photo opportunities (birds or humans were gone before the camera worked). Nevertheless, I managed to take beautiful pictures from my holiday in Brazil.

Then I decided to get a D-SLR, and I bought a Nikon D70. The startup is much faster, allowing me to take pictures of more objects. However, it is more expensive as I bought extra lenses: a 70-300mm lens to bring subjects closer, a Sigma 50mm macro lens for close-ups and recently a Nikkor 18-200mm VR, much better for photography in low light situation without increasing the ISO settings.

I enjoy taking pictures of almost all possible subjects: architecture, landscapes, fauna and flora, and humans. I think the results are mostly quite good but not excellent as I do not specialise in one subject.

I hope my photos bring some joy in people's life when they see them, and that they agree that the earth is beautiful and that we should preserve her as much as possible.

Most of the pictures shown in "Flickr LPG" are my own, although some are taken by family or friends.

I also have a blog where I sometimes write some of my thoughts about all possible subjects, not only about photography, although often I include some pictures.
