Just an Aussie Bloke. (hardly normal though!) lol

I have worked in the Australian Cinema Industry for 25 years (ok, l started young!).

I've been Manager / Projectionist of a number of cinemas and drive-in theatres over the years- mainly in country locations. But for the last 8 years or so have been back in Melbourne working full-time in a specialised high-tech cinema, as well as holding 2 casual jobs in a couple of genuine suburban picture palaces. I'm very passionate about what l do,and believe in good old-fashioned "showmanship".. a vanishing art! The enjoyment and personal reward is in ENTERTAINING people.

Im also a keen CINEMA BUILDING HISTORIAN. My life-long hobby is photographing Aussie cinema venues and

collecting pics of Australian Cinemas, theatres & Drive-In Theatres- both open and closed - for historical purposes.

(BTW- Always grateful to recieve any pics you may have snapped and are willing to share! ..pics will be credited to you). I have a massive collection of my own photos that lve been taking since l was in my teens... one day the will make it into a book or website.. and ultimately into a historical society archive for future gernerations to ponder over what we have lost through "progress"... (sigh). lol

I hope to start sharing some of my pics on here- so stay tuned... l do get around to everything..... EVENTUALLY! lol
