The beginning

I’m a male-to-female crossdresser in my early 70s (going on late 50s). I dress when I can, which is not often enough.

I’ve been out in public a few times in recent years and managed to 'pass' unnoticed, or those who ‘read me’ were nice enough not to be obvious about it. Going out is the best part of my crossdressing.

Been happily married to a loving wife for almost 50 years … she knows about my crossdressing, but I keep it to myself. So, I’m male and taken.

Though calling myself Kate for many years, I recently read a story where one of the 'heroines' was known as Gloria.

Gloria was an aunt of mine, who in my childhood allowed me to dress in her dresses, skirts and high heels. I often think of Auntie Gloria when wondering about the woman in me, so took up the name Gloria in recognition of her support to bringing out my femme side ... took a long time, but eventually came to grips with it.

Acceptable and unacceptable

Decided that I should make a comment when I 'like' a photo ... will reduce my 'likes' but I'm still enjoying the girls on Flickr. So many inspirational when it comes to refining my style.

Those who seek to follow me should have a photo of themselves exhibited, and I'm not interested in males who deliberately exhibit their appendage, they'll quickly be barred. I'm happily married to a wonderful lady, so my status is 'taken', but happy to flirt a little.

Clearly some are not reading this, I OBJECT TO HAVING A RAGING PENIS OR A FLACID ONE STUCK IN MY FACE WHEN I OPEN A NEW REQUEST FOR FRIENDSHIP. Gloria is a different girl to Kate.

The urge to be Gloria grows stronger as I age ... 'took the bit between my teeth" a couple of days ago and went bra shopping. My objective is a bra to suit my own natural breasts that will need taping to bring them together to fill the cups. If I can't be Gloria in public I can at least wear her intimates, including a bra, under my male drab.

Back again. Illness and other activities kept me away but I've not lost the urge to express the woman in me. Unfortunately I get little opportunity for Gloria to emerge but I've not thrown anything out despite the urging from my lovely wife to clean up my side of our walk-in wardrobe.
