In general:
- Bright saturated prints
- I love low volume and grey fabrics as well
- I love all colours in my projects except blacks and browns
- Modern Florals
- Cute animal Prints
- More of a “matching” scrappy kind of girl. Uncoordinated scrappy (e.g. scrap vomit quilt) makes my head hurt!
Dislikes:
- Batiks
- Old-fashioned prints
- Blacks/Browns
- Non-quilt shop quality fabrics (I want all of my projects to last!)
- Realistic prints
- Character or licensed fabrics
Other stuff:
- I have started a little pincushion collection, so am always looking for fun pincushions and pins to add to it.
- Thinking of adding some hoop art to my sewing space. I love this idea, just haven’t gotten round to it yet!
- I love little boxes, trays, tins, and the like to store things
- LOVE tea
- LOVE chocolate! Not so much sugar candies, but definitely any chocolate! Especially if it is something specific to your country! Almond m&ms are my faves, and I am currently wondering who I can bribe to get my hands on some of the new oreo flavours coming out in the US! Red velvet?!? YUM!
- Love receiving modern scraps
- Love stationary, pretty cards and pens/pencils
- I love receiving things which may be specific to your area, or at the least a cool postcard from your town. I am a big traveller and am fascinated by all aspects of other's cultures and things I might get from different regions, so anything from your area will always be loved!
- Can always use needles and thread (LOVE aurifil – have recently discovered them and cant get enough!), zippers, cute zipper pulls, rotary cutter blades (olfa 45mm), pins, washi tape (I love the sewing themed ones!)
- I do dabble in embroidery and cross stitch, but don’t seem to spend as much time doing this as sewing.
- Never have enough cute zipper pouches, or scissors
- Love any other small handmade items: coin purses, mug rugs, coasters, needlebooks etc
- love fun socks
- love mugs of any description! I have a few of the "I am here" mugs, but would love a couple from the US!
- love reading
On my list to (eventually) purchase: a bloc loc ruler (these look fascinating!), a sixty degree triangle ruler
I want to (eventually) learn to: crochet
Currently working on: a couple of swap projects and some small overdue items for my home, some summer clothing, AMH flight map quilt, Jane Austen Sampler
WIPs: Tula Pink City Sampler (blocks done, trying to find courage to trim and sash), Scrappy trips quilt (needs to be quilted), Park Bench quilt (needs to be quilted), Bonnie and Camille Moda Love quilt (needs to be quilted)
Topping the quilty to-do list to be started who knows when: gypsy wife quilt, Pacific Crest quilt from Beyond Neutral, AMH Color Dive Quilt, St Louis 16 patch, Fancy Fox Quilt, Fall Forest Quilt, Scrappy Bear Paw quilt. Plus many others which just aren’t at the “top” of the list! Lol! Also, this list changes constantly!
