I'm a computer geek who's very interested in both astronomy and tramping. Lately I've been getting a lot more involved in the Wellington Tramping and Mountaneering Club, which has meant going on trips a lot more frequently, hence the majority of my photostream being tramping/hiking related.

My main motivation in photography is more with keeping a record of what I've been up to, and scenery photos don't tend to convey much to me in this sense. (If that's all I wanted, I'd get a postcard and it'd be composed much better than I could.) To this end, though, most of my favourite photos tend to be based around people, or attempting to describe something that happened, or showing unusual things or circumstances.
