After a nearly five year European adventure I've moved back to St. Louis. I took up photography while living in England and now I'm looking forward to rediscovering the city I grew up through photography.

I started getting into photography when I moved from the US to Europe in 2006. I decided that I should have a nice camera to shoot all the wonderful sights I was experiencing so I bought my first SLR, an Olympus E-500. Needless to say a new hobby/passion was born.

I am certainly a simple amateur but I absolutely love photography and I'm constantly trying to learn more about taking good photographs, not just pictures and "happy-snaps". Ive had some minor success with a few of my photos being published professionally and all the wonderful comments and encouragement from fellow flickr members has certainly inspired me to take better photographs.

After an unfortunate incident my Olympus E-500 was no more. I liked my Olympus but I wasn't "in love" with it. After talking with a friend who is a professional photographer about what I wanted and what my budget was she convinced me to purchase a Nikon D40. After a few months I realized there was a lot more I could be doing so I invested in new glass (Nikon 18-200mm VR) and a Nikon D90 body, which I absolutely love. I've recently invested in more glass and other toys for my D90.

I look forward to taking many more great photos and sharing them with my friends on flickr!
