Passionate about photography and the visual arts since 2005, always looking for the next flash of inspiration. Canadian by birth, I moved to the United States at the age of 2, returned to Canada for university in Montreal, and came around full circle to settle back on the Maryland side of the Washington DC suburbs where I grew up. Only this time with a whole new appreciation for my surroundings, capturing precious sights on camera, and sharing them with you.

Update May 6, 2026: I'm back on Flickr after a nearly 3 year hiatus 👍 Can't believe it's been that long, life has been zooming by... but I'm glad to be back :-) To be honest, I'm getting a bit tired of mainstream social media as an introvert. All I want to do is share photos without having to worry about popularity contests. Like the way I remember on Flickr, hence my return!

Most of my images are released with Creative Commons Attribution license. Not all mind you, and typically for reasons beyond my control. I would just ask that you note the licensing terms for any images of mine that you would like to re-use. Credit is also usually required, you can cite my name Nicolas Raymond or Bold Frontiers.
