I have been dabbling in photography all of my life, but really got interested in it when my parents gave me a Minolta XG-1 for my college graduation.

I am strongly influenced by the painter Edward Hopper, who supposedly once said, "All I really want to do is paint light on the side of a house," as well as by the photographer Walker Evans, who was also shy and a lover of urban landscapes.
