Photography is a very fun hobby. I got into it because I love to look at pictures. I love looking at magazines and other people's photo albums. But I also love "toys". Before buying my first camera, I did a massive amount of research. I wanted as many features as I could afford. I also wanted something stylish. I had a huge laundry list of those sorts of desires. I was and am happy with all three of my cameras.

But what I've learned, as I've matured over the last 14 years, is that in the end, it's about the photographer.........and not camera. I've seen so many wonderful pictures on flickr from the thousands of photographers here who use every level of kit from the VGA quality mobile phone to the Canon 1D and I am convinced that the equipment is merely a tool. Some equipment is better than other equipment, to be sure, but it really is about the photographer.

With this new perspective, I intend to now begin making beautiful imagery for my and all your flikry eyes. Enjoy:)
