Please note that the photos I've posted from Turkey cerca 1945 were given to my father while he was in the Turkish army serving as an interpreter to the Americans while stationed there. He made friends with a Lt. Jim Vogel who shot the photos and gave my date prints, which I've scanned in. My father was a Sephardic jew, whose family has been in Turkey as long as they've known (though they spoke Ladino so were at one point in time originally from Spain way back in the 1400s). Jim Vogel successfully talked my father into coming to the US after the war.

So, all I know about the photos is the occasional pencil marks written on the back, so please excuse the incorrect spellings of locations, and my guesses at where these photos go on the map. Comments and corrections are welcome!
