Description

How we started:

In the beginning, In 1985, we started up as a civil initiative without having a Lebanese legitimate license for action, our interference were in medical assistance for the civilian casualties and injuries of the armed conflict. The focus was to reach as quickly as possible severe injuries which were not possible to be properly cared in Lebanon. Our backbone partner was and

still

“SOS Enfants Sans Frontières”, a French association whom back then, with their help, we were able to treat hundreds of children. Most of the injuries were the loss of parts of bodies. Also we were able to finance the treatment of hundreds of severe cases here in Lebanon.

After the civil war in Lebanon came to an end, we have begun focusing on the educational field. With SOS/ESF financial help, in addition to some local contributions we’ve been able to support the education of hundreds of children besides giving a hand to sustain some of the monasteries whom were involved in taking care and refining misfortune kids.

In 2005, we initiated the Lebanese association “Enfants Sans Frontières” registered in the ministry of social affairs(10/AD/2005); this was required to go further in our work. Beside our main partner in France we grew a web of local donors and volunteers. We set programs for social development, food aid and small financial aid. We have set a prebuilt house in Ruwaysat area and we’ve been using it, until recently in night school study, for children having lexical problems. In addition, we were using the place to recycle old clothing, already enrolled since 1999.

Today:

We are working within larger horizons to support kids education, provide youth and family with the awareness required for fruitful involvement in the community, and empower women's roll in the society.
