Khoj-Society for People's Education based in Lahore is a development organization working with rural communities in Punjab since 1999. The educational work with women and children is being carried through an alternative approach and methodology inspired by the principles of relevance, participation, community development and gender equity.

The involvement with local communities gave birth to initiatives in community health and ecological agriculture.

The organization is credited with development of alternative teaching/learning methodolgies, curricula, educational and extension materials and teaching aids.

Khoj has the honor of working with organizations like Oxfam, CIDA, Save the Children UK, ActionAid, Learning for Life, Royal Netherlands Embassy and PAN Asia Pacific among others.
