My first camera was a Keystone 126mm Instamatic that was given to me as a birthday gift when I was 6 years old. I learned to develop my own film that year and over the following two summers took hundreds of pictures as my family traveled across Canada and the United States during summer vacation. The photography bug had taken hold. Over the years I have owned various SLR's, APS, and point and shoots. Recently I discovered a new generation of point and shoot that have SLR like manual features that have me back in the field with a camera and experimenting with casual day to day photography. I have always said photography is like fishing...you take lots of pictures for the chance to land just one trophy. I don't have many trophies, but a bad day of photography is always better than a good day at work ;)
