Hutt Valley born and bred. Having grown up in the Hutt Valley it was only natural to fall in love with cars, more over fast cars with lots of horsepower. There is nothing quite like the sound of a rumbling V8 as it idles past, the same can be said about a blown alcohol dragster screaming past you at over 200miles per hour and literally feeling the ground shake beneath your feet. As a youngster growing up, I had a bit of an artistic interest, and much of my time was spent drawing and doodling, probably when I should of been doing homework. Art itself never really took me anywhere until I picked up a camera for the first time about 10 years ago.

Throughout the 90's I was involved in the local hot-rodding scene owning a couple of sweet rides over a 8-9 year period. Life took me in a different direction throughout the 2000's where I gained a Diploma in Digital Media studying film and animation. My interest in photography started from accidently stumbling across a 3d course online for Autodesk Maya, where the tutor was also a photographer and I started seeing his work, which just blew me away. YouTube has a lot to answer for as far as rabbit holes and content just consumed me thick and fast. Before I knew it, I had bought my first Dslr camera not knowing that this was going to get almost as expensive as cars. The beauty is the sky is the limit with photography, and you soon find the opportunities to earn that money back sometimes many times over. Combining cameras and cars was the next natural step, and I started attending Drag racing meetings again and hot rod shows. Not only did I rediscover my love for cars, but I also found I had a penchant for 50's pin up and retro photography. So while I do photograph almost anything from events to weddings My main passion still consumes much of my time at a car show, or race meeting where you will see me behind the camera in my happy place.
