I'm a retired night bus driver who was last employed by Brighton & Hove Bus & Coach Co Ltd. I was diagnosed with Parkinsons Disease and had my license revoked so was paid off. I had been based at Lewes Road garage in Brighton since joining Brighton Borough Transport in March 1989. I started work in the bus industry with Oxford South Midland at their Bicester garage in 1978 and later drove for South Midland also based in Bicester. My regular route was the 132 from Oxford to Bedford via Bletchley and Newport Pagnell. Between employment in Oxfordshire and East Sussex I worked for Fife independent Rennies of Dunfermline. Previous to entering the transport industry I had worked as a letterpress machine manager at the Northfleet Press, Stonebridge Road, Northfleet, Kent. I then worked for a while as a postman based at Bicester sorting office in Oxfordshire.
