I've been taking pictures for over 30 years off and on so I guess it means something to me.

I've always tried to take good photographs but seem to end up with more quantity than quality.

Having used an Olympus OM1 for so long it's practically worn out, in February this year I invested in a Nikon D80 with a 17-70mm lens. Since then I have had my horizons expanded and have been exploring the potential of my new camera (which seems to be in excess of my ability so far).

I want to share my images now that it is so easy to do so, rather than stash them away in a shoe box (or the modern equivalent; a laptop).

I intend to upload lots of photgraphs and with time hope to achieve the standard of many of those on Flickr that have impressed me so much.
