i was a radio/tv/film major going along quite nicely until i took a photography class and loved it. i decided to double major in photojournalism and though i never wanted a career out of it, i loved learning everything about photography and making it more than just a little hobby.

i also run a silly little appreciation-photoblog-thing about my favorite place in the world on tumblr. you can find it at socaleveryday.tumblr.com, and another about my favorite type of photography -- wide angle.

i would be content to turn a room in my house into my own personal studio where i could house my handfuls of beat-up thrift-store-ravaged point-and-shoots, my broken lenses and flashes, my useless smashed digital, and my entire stock of supplies to run my own wet lab, if i had my own stock of supplies to run my own wet lab and if i had someone who could teach me how to actually run my own wet lab because i sort of never learned how to develop film.

i enjoy taking/appreciating photos of urban landscapes, live music shows, underwater/open water, the human body, art supplies, chandeliers/lights, and candid action shots. i also prefer the look of film over digital but like taking both. i like smileys =). i abuse the word "yikes" on a daily basis.
