The subject matter is particularly intriguing to me, of men and boys portraying females on stage, screen, in pageants, etc. I am one who considers crossdressing, among other things, an art form. How Aunty June amassed such an array of such material is truly amazing.

Her Flickr page and the groups she admins are a treasure trove of wonderful photos and a celebration of all things trans and CD and deserve to be cherished as a social history of our community. She is also a lovely person who always has a word of encouragement for new gurls who may be just finding their way in the exciting but sometimes scary world of glam, femininity and self-discovery. Aunty June.....what can one say? I came across "her" photostream quite by accident and was totally fascinated by what I have found and seen thru the years on the flickr page. WHAT a FUN person I thought and then I corresponded with Aunty June over the years. OMG! I so wish I was able to take part in her productions. Such a fun person to say the least. This very much in character gal is a hoot too. A VERY nice person who really greets people of all kinds with a big heart. I've been involved in stage productions and I can see the work involved with hers. It's mostly a lot of fun and I've had interesting conversation with her and many of her fans. What a great person! Unfortunately, I find myself fairly deeply into early retirement. Like the one you hear so much about at the office my retirement was not voluntary. Dear Aunty has worked tirelessly to expand her tastefully designed site to mirror both the near term and the past. Her extensive collection brings on a smile on each occasion that I come across a photo that reminds me of one of my several adventures. Aunty has maintained what must be the most comprehensive archive of photos on this subject matter! Thank you so much! Here is what I said before: I am truly enjoying Aunty June's two groups, Guys to Gurls on Stage and Screen and womanless beauty pageants. She has amassed an amazing collection of photos. Well, finally, I have figured it out. Your patience and willingness to give guidance to even the most computer illiterate of your many admirers is just one more sterling quality you possess. I must start this testimonial with a preface. Testimonials which are solicited by the subject are generally not as sincere as those which some spontaneously, and June (I won't call her Aunty because, having now seen photos of HER, above, I cannot think of her more as an aunt ... there is a bad name for that kind of lusting) ... anyway, June did solicit this testimonial. But, I hasten to add, she only had to because in my state of cyber ignorance I could never see how to place the kind of testimonial I so often wanted to post. Finally she showed me how. So having already posted so much that I can hear the zzzzzzzz's, I will restrain myself and be brief. She is GREAT, in every way. In taking all the time and doing all the work to keep her wonderful sites lively and engaging, in helping and friend-ing (Iif that is a real world) people on an individual basis), and in constant reminding us all that being a real, beautiful woman is not a matter of biology but of heart and soul. Aunty June should be 'Aunty Joy', both for the pleasure she gives all who consult her amazing collection of hundreds of pictures of our favourite activity and for the joy on the faces of the boys and men frocking up for womanless weddings and womanless beauty pageants. I, for one, had no idea these had been going on in the US since the late 1800s. Browsing through the collection of this wonderful aunty is an instructive and joyful way to spend a wet weekend!
