Besides pictures I take of my 8 grandchildren my main hobby is taking pictures of wildlife and mainly of birds. I used to live in Western PA about halfway between Pittsburgh and Erie but in April 2020 my wife and I hit the road in our motorhome traveling North America. The majority of our time is spent birding and doing bird photography. My photo equipment includes a Nikon Z7ii,, Nikon Z8, Nikon Z 400mm f/4.5 lens and Nikon Z 1.4X TC which, of course, is mainly used on my birding expeditions. I also own a Nikon 50MM F1.8G, and the Nikon 24-70/4 S.

Birding has been an on and off hobby of mine since I was a young teenager. I got into it full swing a few years ago and started photographing birds in 2011. At that time I knew nothing about Photography...PERIOD!!! Now I spend every free minute I have walking trails with my camera and tripod slung over my shoulder. What an addiction!
