My first memories of photography were at infant school, looking at black & white pictures of authors on books, which fascinated me.

Many years later, I changed career and got the opportunity to study Art & Design (Negotiated Studies) at Birmingham Polytechnic.

Following on I studied a degree at Wolverhampton University in Visual Communications (Photography Option) and loved shooting and printing mainly in b/w.

Since then I have taken part in various joint exhibitions, co-ordinated a women's photography group, had a small amount of work published, and had commissions.

A few years ago I had the opportunity to study both Photoshop and Web Design at Birmingham City University, and now enjoy working in both film and digital imagery.

My favourite photographers are Edward Steichen, Clarence White, Paul Strand, James Annan, Alvin Coburn, Robert Demachy.

I love looking at the many magnificent photos on Flickr, which are so inspiring. A visual paradise!
