Photography offers a unique interface with the physical world, teaching the holder of the camera to look at the world more openly and completely, in a search for patterns, interactions, connections and meanings that can enrich and enhance one's day-to-day experience.
Beyond the moment of capture there is then the joy of interacting with the image, enabling a further resonance with the original experience, and endless creative opportunity in the post-processing space.
To be able to then share some of that experience with an international set of like-minded people, and to in turn see the world through their and their camera's eye, keeps the fire burning even more brightly and intensely.
I am a retired (as of 2016) family medical practitioner who now has more time to tend that fire!
