I retired after 30 years at a sawmill in Chetwynd, BC

My wife Debbie and I have lived at 108 Mile Ranch since 2008

After encouragement from our son Michael Porter, I began my bird photography hobby in 2012

108 Mile Ranch is a great location for bird photography with with many kilometers of trails, two lakes and many ponds.

I have now (as of Fall 2020) been able to photograph 115 species of birds here.
