I am The Joe Bessner. People often ask, “The Joe, can I have your autograph?” and then after that they ask “So where does the /The/ come from in your name?” The answer is this. My junior year of High School I walked to my first classes where most teachers were standing outside their doors with a class role in their hands. After learning that my name was “Joe Bessner” every single one of my teachers for the rest of the day had this to say: “Wait…. THE Joe Bessner? Like the one that all of the sophomore teachers have been telling me about?” This is where it all began. After learning this I realized that I had been missing the first part of my name for seventeen years! My senior year of High School I was head co-anchor of our morning announcements (which you can see here: www.youtube.com/watch?v=ne9_QzBlSA0) where I always signed on/signed off and introduced myself as ‘The Joe Bessner.’ I am THE Joe Bessner. I am The Joe. And I am way too full of myself.

When I grow up, I am going to be a pyrotechnician (someone who does fireworks for a living.) I enjoy being in front of an audience where I will attempt to entertain them. I am an Eagle Scout. I am an Orientation Leader. I have bought over 400 items on ebay. I am a DJ. I am a Student at the University of North Texas where I am majoring in RTVF and minoring in theater. I hate chocolate. I hate the body parts below the ankles. I do not and will never consume alcohol.
